Blagoy D. Ivanov

He holds a MA degree in movie critics from the Bulgarian National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts “Krastyo Sarafov”. His professional experience includes screenwriting, copywriting and journalism, but in recent years he splits his professional endeavors between literature and cinema. Currently, he is an editor at the Ciela Books publishing house and appears as a frequent guest and commentator about various movie topics on different television and radio programs. Among his interests and hobbies are genre fiction, popular science and comic culture.

As a writer, he has several books on his name, including the non-fiction collection “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Ones” which consists of many articles, essays and reviews about cult movies. In2019 he wrote and co-created the comic book collection “Seven Urban Sins”, along with the famous Bulgarian artist Peter Stanimirov.

Together with his colleagues from the website Operation Kino he is a co-founder of the project Inglourious Kunts – video podcast focused almost entirely on cinema. The podcast has already produced more than 100 episodes.
