Director's BIO

Eleonora Asparuhova is a UK based 2D Animator, originally from Bulgaria.
Holder of the 2013 ‘Art and Humanities Research Council Master Preparation Award’ in Animation Eleonora completed her Master degree in Animation at the University of Salford, UK, in 2015 and since then she has produced a numerous animated shorts, as a director, producer and animator, including ‘Song of Man’ and ‘Samovila’ that have successfully entered the festival circles both in the UK and internationally.
Her animation films have been screened at KINOFEST, Thessaloniki Animation Festival, Screentest Animation Festival, ‘TOFUZI’ International Animation Festival, Athens ‘Animfest’, ‘Golden Kuker’ and others.
So far, Eleonora has launched four successful illustration exhibitions in the UK and Bulgaria and has worked with animation studios and illustration agencies internationally as a freelance animator, illustrator and concept artist.
Currently lecturing at the Manchester School of Art, Eleonora is also the co-founder and festival director of the Celtic Animation Film Festival in Liverpool, UK.
